Learning Through Sports
A Unique Program
Learning Through Sports uses interactive sports games to teach core subject areas and behavioral skills development for grades K-12. Learning Through Sports offers Kid's College, a Web-based math and reading program, and STAR Sportsmanship, a Web-based role playing program, teaching behavioral skills for school, sports and life.
The mission of Learning Through Sports is to combine athletics with academics to better motivate learning. Both Kid's College and STAR Sportsmanship take advantage of a unique (patent pending) edugaming content delivery methodology which generates unprecedented motivation and is scientifically proven through independent research studies to improve learning.
Kid's College Motivates With Sports
Students must answer State Standard Aligned Test Questions to unlock the play. Each correct answer unlocks a single play within the game. Instructional help is provided to ensure learning. Once the instruction is reviewed a second attempt to answer the question is provided. Only correct answers unlock the game play.
STAR Sportsmanship
A research-based teaching methodology that offers students a fun, motivating way to learn behavioral skills with:
- Real-life sports situations
- Student choices and consequences
- Practice of appropriate behavior
Students learn, practice, and apply STAR thinking to their decision making in school sports and life. STAR Sportsmanship is a web-based program available 24/7 from school or home.
