Kid’s College® offers a unique combination of standards-based math and language
arts lessons combined with sports video games. Lessons are aligned to all states’
standards and include common assessments (in math and language arts) for K-8 students. The program’s adaptive technology automatically manages interventions
for each individual student. This well-integrated system of instruction and intervention is guided by child outcome data. The Kid’s College® program is web-based and therefore accessible 24/7, wherever the internet is available.
Kid’s College® takes a student where he/she can be successful – even if that’s
several grades lower than their current class grade level. As soon as those skills are mastered, the student quickly climbs back up to grade level and beyond.
Choose from 6 Sports!
Students answer questions correctly to unlock game time in their favorite sport.
Select from snowboarding, soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, or baseball.
High Score Contests
Students love to see how they rank in the game and post their high scores. They compete in contests in their class, grade, school, district, and even state and national contests.
Extending the School Day
Eager to post a higher score, students are doing more work after school hours. In fact, of the 35 million questions answered in the 2006-2007 school year among all Kid’s College® participants, 24% were answered after regular school hours!
Executive Reports
Reports are automatically emailed to you weekly or monthly – there’s no need for you to “run” reports. Simply click on the emailed .pdf to review data for your district, school, classroom, or individual student.
Instructional Game Plans
Teachers can generate customized supplemental worksheets for individual students
based on areas where remediation or acceleration is required.
Kid’s College® is a powerful instructional tool that can be used in a variety of
settings:
Moving students from “meets” to “exceeds”
At home
Computer labs
In classrooms
Extending the school day
Targeted “bubble” students(which helps entire school achieve AYP).
