“Part of our success story at Ellis Middle School the past few years is due in large part to the exposure our students have had with the SkillsTutor program. Students are identified by a variety of means- test scores, teacher recommendation, classroom performance and participation. These students are generally our "target population" as described in our SIP Plans. These students use SkillsTutor under the direction of a certified English teacher during their study hall period. They are able to work directly in the area or areas of deficit. The program provides direct feedback and a positive learning experience for kids.”
